Tonight is fashion’s most extravagant night of the year…The 2014 Met Ball! We’re excited to see what the most beautiful, celebrated, and wealthy women in fashion, film, music, and TV will be wearing as they attend the event at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. Each year, Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour organizes and hosts the $15,000/ticket Costume Institute Gala, nicknamed the Met Ball. This year, the theme will be ‘White Tie and Decorations’, a tribute to the American designer, Charles James. It’s a lot more subdued than last year’s ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ theme, a homage to punk’s impact on fashion. Expect to see celebrities more formal this year, going for looks inspired by the glitz and glamour of the 40s and 50s.
