Often worn under a sport coat or suit, the topcoat is an excellent piece of outerwear to keep you looking sophisticated and feeling warm with its insulated lining and wool exterior. Those few extra inches of coat really make a difference when temperatures drop, all the while creating a sliming and modern silhouette to boot. If you’re buying one for the first time, I would recommend paying close attention to the texture and fabric, picking something that has visual interest, but won’t seem tasteless next year. Solid choices include your Donegal, Harris, and Herringbone tweeds.
