We took it to the West Loop to capture the rugged and rebellious essence of this Timberland moto jacket. Made of super soft lambskin leather and warmed with PrimaLoft insulation, it’s as comfortable as it is stylish. Although I’m not rockstar or even a biker for that matter, when I picture a leather moto jacket, I instantly think of the Ramones and Marlon Brando circa the 1950s. There’s something about it that emulates bad***, but in a nonchalant and effortlessly cool way. Intentionally cut shorter so you can easily hop on your bike, this piece of menswear packs in all of the attitude and endures as a staple in your fall wardrobe.
There are many ways to style a leather moto jacket. For this look, I went for a casual, masculine vibe with aviators, a lightweight flannel, and distressed denim. I know what some of you are probably thinking as you’re seeing/reading this… Jason in ripped jeans!? Believe me…I was weary myself since I haven’t worn denim like this since my highschool days working at Abercrombie & Fitch. Maybe I’m subconsciously going through a quarter-life crisis, but I just thought I would take a chance and go for it. Even though I went for more of a casual take, you could easily dress this jacket up for a night out with a dress-shirt, tie, and tie-bar. There’s also the easiest, most timeless look with a simple white t-shirt, denim, and leather boots.
How will you style your leather moto jacket?
Fact: PrimaLoft is a brand of patented synthetic microfiber thermal insulation material that was developed for the United States Army in the 1980s.
Tip: Leather will stretch with wear. Don’t be alarmed if your size fits more snug than usual or if you have to go a size down. The more you wear it, the more it will conform to the natural shape of your body.
