Fall is in full swing and we’re embracing every minute of it here at The Chicago Chic. From a style perspective, it’s a great opportunity to start bringing out pieces that have been stowed away in your closet for months. For today’s look, we’re highlighting the pull-on boot from the Timberland Boot Company’s ‘Coulter Collection’. As a leader in outdoor apparel, they craft some of the highest quality goods on the market. Now, don’t be baffled because they don’t resemble the ‘Timbs’ you see Jay-Z sporting at the Nets game, these are from their more exclusive line of footwear- The Timberland Boot Company. Made-in-America using a true cement welt construction, highest quality Horween leather, and a Vibram sole, these boots are really in it for the long haul.
A great pair of versatile pull-on boots will go a long way this fall with your casual wardrobe. Here I’ve styled mine for a more transitional-fall/winter look with a fine merino wool turtleneck sweater and double breasted peacoat, both from All Saints. I originally planned to do a dark selvedge denim, but ended up going with a light gray wash by J Brand to make the unique color of the coat and boots pop.
Are you booted for Fall?
Fact: Founded in 1905, the Horween Leather Company is one of the oldest continuously running tanneries in the United States, and the only one still located in Chicago.

Tip: If you’re in the market for a new winter coat, try venturing away from boring black and charcoal. Instead, opt for colors that are more unconventional like maroon, olive, navy, or deep brown.
