Sure, there was a time when K-Swiss, Chuck Taylors, Reebok Pumps, Vans, and Shell-toe Adidas sneakers made you the coolest kid at school. Now, major fashion houses want to play and sneakers have never looked cooler. I think what I love most about investing in sneakers is the versatility you get with them. You can wear them with a cotton suit for a relaxed, put-together look or dress them down with a simple white tee and denim. These designer sneaks will take you from the gym, to the office, and even land you a spot at that after party.
Would you splurge on these designer sneakers?
I have never been a huge fan of camo, but this I dig. Combining canvas, suede, leather, studs, and a red back make these Valentino sneakers a statement piece. They also remind me of an updated version of old-school New Balances.

I picked these Balenciaga sneakers because I really like the blend of cross-grain and patent leather with the translucent sole. They strike a good balance between futuristic and “wearable”.
Balenciaga ($575)
These Jimmy Choos in a deep olive and black are so sleek. I love how the two colors compliment each other so well.

If I were to pick one pair of sneakers, these would probably be the one. A modern take on a classic design, these white Saint Laurents will be one of the most versatile staples in your wardrobe. I would wear these with a full-blown formal suit or even with with denim and a graphic tee.

Finally some Gucci sneakers that aren’t covered with the gaudy double-G logo. I really like the stacked satin colors on the back.
Gucci ($490)
Lastly, I wanted to share these awesome Lanvin sneakers that I had the pleasure of trying on a few months back. I love the deep emerald suede with the contrast of the gray patent leather.
